From time to time I make offers
of painted horses, unpainted seconds and the occasional
special deal before releasing these deals to the general
sales sites. Generally I have sold out these offers
exclusively through my yahoogroup announcement
list . So joining "mksculptureupdate" will also
give you the best chance of getting a painted or unpainted
resin. Check out the gallery links of what I've sold
lately in the "News & Archives".

"Godiva"
is an exclusive Thomas Bainbridge offering of a Morgan
mare. Godiva, was sculpted by Morgen for Tom Bainbridge
and orders are now being taken exclusively through Tom.
All information
on her release and subsequent painted Godivas offered
by Tom will be announced through his own yahoogroup
(I will not be handling any of the marketing / sales
for her) so you're encouraged to join his group as you'll
find out answers faster that way! :)

A little
note about my finished resins and Artist's Proofs: To
date I've tended to part with only about 5 finished
resins a year. This is not for want of painting effort,
but rather because I'm often returning again and a again
to "get it just right" in my estimation. In 2006 I sold
two times that 'average' but several of those horses
were nearly completed for several years so they weren't
exactly "new to me".. I am getting a little faster with
some techniques but I doubt I'll ever be just too picky
about what leaves my painting studio. In fact some horses
I will only sell in person if I feel that photos cannot
properly present them. I also tend to take horses back
to the table rather than just give up and let them leave
with a finish I'm not absolutely thrilled with.
So while
I don't have a massive portfolio of painted horses,
the 20-30 or so resins I've signed, sealed and called
completed since rejoining the hobby world (after a decade
hiatus from CMing) are all works I am proud of, would
wish to keep and show myself, and am confident in offering
up to the world for sale. It's for some of those reasons
I don't do custom orders at all. Sorry! I've only done
so a few times in the past for close friends who's horses
I really *really!* wanted to paint... and even then
it took me forever to be satisfied. Never mind the anxiety
of having someone else's fragile, impossible-to-replace
work of art hanging around the studio, so custom commissions
are just not for me.

Despite my low output ~ 1/2 of my
sold works (only that I know of!) have gotten top tier placings/wins
in tough competition around the country; including many 1st
places thru Div & Overall Champs ..in 06' one of my first
artist's proofs even earned himself a NAN cookie as well as
the coveted NAN Top Ten in workmanship. So I guess I would
say I am happy with my "quality not quantity" approach!
Every RARE once in a while I'll decide
to try something new - and the best way to be alerted to any
special offers is, yes again (lol!) through my announcement
list .
