Oceania

Limited time edition
At 1:16 scale (curio sized), this vivacious handful represents a young
athletic mare valiantly swimming her heart out. On her seaweed base she stands just over 8 inches tall and from her nose (or water) to streaming tail is nearly 8.5 inches long. Because the option of magnets to hold her to this base is a bit unsual I've made an interactive video as well.

"Joe Reed II" - SITE COMING SOON
This is a very limited edition "Joe Reed II" memorial tile, I made these for my aunt and family. Currently I'm creating a new website with video footage from the 40's of the real stallion and some of my extended family (I actually have ~ 20minutes of footage to pare down). This is unique enough to have film of a breed's foundation stallion in his prime and so the site will be more about the horse and his people than the tiles.

Sold Out & Closed Resin Editions

For complete list of works offered, including now resin editions that are now closed, please see the "Catalog of Works" page.

No Future Sales of Painted Resin Horses Anticipated

At this time I am planning to focus primarily on the sculpting and leave the finishing work to the many many wonderfully skilled painters that are out there (under the "Find a Painter" page - button up to the left - you'll find over 20 terrific painters to chose from!). There are a few half finished horses here I may complete at some point but my primary objective is to wrap up remaining commissions and focus solely on sculpting.

To see past finishwork by Morgen please view on my yahoogroup or here on my archived finishwork page.

What is coming?

So many ways to learn what I'm up to here! Check out my "Inside the Studio" page for some works I feel daring enough to share.

OPT-IN EMAILS: You now also can use the sign-up form on the left column of this page below the site links.

You may sign up using the form offering several options for which ever work you would like to receive email updates on. Aferwards, don't forget to confirm your subscription or the service won't sign you up.

I intend to use this service only to let you know of specific sculpture news. As a backup to my yahoogroup mails OR as an alternative notice for those who don't do yahoo.

BLOG: I have been pretty faithfully updating my blog with works in progress and plans that I'm at liberty to share.

The blogger format allows you to subscribe to email to get updates.

YAHOO GROUP: When I'm getting ready to do a new resin release I inform my yahoogroup a little in advance. If you need more than a few weeks warning I suggest keeping an eye on the blog.

FB: My facebook page gets feeds from my blog as well. In general most of the "news" I post there is along the lines of "I ordered something today" or a minor quandry or musing not worth "blogging" about. Also I've really enjoyed sharing links to other artist's work or information that inspires or otherwise is too good to keep to myself.. I don't use facebook for in depth reports of events or thoughts on plans newer works. Sometimes however I do post pictures there. And in the future for bigger events I may use the invite feature.

Twitter is pretty much reserved exclusively to notify when a new work is posted for sale. No extraneous chatter there. Honestly? At the end of the day when I'm done updating all of these??? Sometimes I forget to tweet! ;)
